The Impact of Green Supply Chain Management Practices on Company Performance by Applying to Companies in the Egyptian Petroleum Sector

Abstract

This research aims to identify the impact of green supply chain management practices on the company performance in the organizations operating in the Egyptian petroleum sector which are located within the governorate of Alexandria. In order to achieve this goal, three sets of hypotheses were developed. A survey list was developed by the researcher to collect the primary data that serves the research purpose. The Cronbach's Alpha confirmed the reliability of the research variables, the convergent validity of the parameters of the research variables was ascertained by using the Factor analysis.Through the use of the path analysis aimed at testing the research hypotheses and judging the quality of the overall fit of the proposed research model and improving it; the research found that there is an impact of both the internal environmental management and investment recovery on both environmental performance and operational performance.The research also acknowledges that there is no effect of green purchasing and cooperation with customers on environmental performance. Besides, the research also concluded that there is no impact of cooperation with customers on operational performance. The research also found that there is an effect of both environmental management and ecodesign on economic performance. Finally, the research reveals that there is no impact of both the cooperation with customers and the investment recovery on the economic performance.
