Abstract

The Malaysian experience in achieving economic growth is one of the prominent global economic experiences, as Malaysia was able to get out of being one of the poorest countries in the world to become among the countries that achieved an economic miracle, such as China, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Malaysia has become the first industrialized country in the Islamic world. Therefore, this study aims to identify a set of determinants of economic growth in Malaysia, and then the possibility of developing countries emulating, including its path to achieve economic growth and prosperity. Using the autoregressive ARDL model and then using the ARDL Bounds Tests as an input to the cointegration; To test the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The study reached a set of results, including a positive and significant effect of economic openness, foreign direct investment, and domestic investment on economic growth.
