The current study aimed at determining the effect of organizational cynicism on job burnout and the relative importance of each of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral cynicism on job burnout in governmental units in sharkeya governorate. The study has been implemented by surveying a sample of 384 employees and the collected data has been analyzed using suitable statistical techniques. Results revealed that there is a significant effect of organizational cynicism on job burnout. Moreover, there is a significant effect of emotional and behavioral cynicism on job burnout while cognitive cynicism has no significant effect on job burnout. It is concluded that the relative importance of emotional and behavioral cynicism is higher than cognitive cynicism theoretical and practical implications have been discussed.
