The food industry is interested in all countries of the world because of the benefit that is integrated with the agricultural sector in addition to its importance on the strategic level and food security and its contribution to the self-sufficiency of countries, The percentage of workers in this sector for the total labor force in the industrial sector in Egypt is 20.8% according to 2014/2015, Which means that it is one of the most comprehensive activities for employment and thus help in reducing the problem of unemployment significantly, Net value added in the food products industry amounted to 6% of the total net value added in the Egyptian industrial sector. The problem of the study is the decline in production, the decline in exports and the increase in imports of some products of the food industry sector and the non-exploitation of available capacities, despite the availability of raw materials, especially vegetables and fruits, The study used descriptive statistical analysis of the food industry during the period (20-02/03- 2013/2014), according to available data at the local level, and the period (2002-2016) according to data available at the global level.
