Egypt is suffering from many economic problems, foremost of which is the problem of poverty, poverty rates have increased in Egypt at the beginning of the 1990s of the last century, and then fell at the beginning of the millennium but increasingly developed during the rest of the periods of study, have varied and changed the poverty lines and levels and patterns of expenditure between rural and urban areas compared between study periods for 2012 /2013, 2015, Egypt witnessed a continuous increase in poverty rates and a further decline in the standard of living of the poor, especially in rural areas, despite high growth's ratings in some years of study.
