Abstract
The research aims to know the types of shocks that can result from correcting or liberalizing energy prices in Egypt, and what are the effects of this correction on energy prices at the level of economic welfare of the family sector and the outside world sector, and the effect of this correction on the allocation of investment resources in the production sector And its effect on the government sector, as a study also aims to determine the effects of energy price correction on the overall economic performance in Egypt. The study concluded that the low energy prices in Egypt over the years and the government's heavy dependence on importing several types of different forms of energy have a high cost, whether on the government or taxpayers, and that low energy prices encourage excessive energy consumption which increases the speed of their depletion. In this regard, the DSGE model was designed based on the theoretical foundations of the New Keynesian School and according to the reality of the Egyptian economy.
